Day 14: 2 weeks in and maybe 2% done!

The morning started with reorganizing my panniers and bags and getting rid of a couple of more things I am never likely to use. During this process I had a sudden realization that I don’t have my jacket. I must have left it at the reception of the last motel. Oops. I am not cycling back there. Who needs rain gear anyway?
The cycling this morning started slow while my legs warmed up. It was very misty and foggy and visibility was low. The kind where you know if it wasn’t foggy, the views would be stunning.
Once the mist cleared, the views were indeed stunning. Some hills in the 2nd half of the day but nothing too serious, especially with lowest gear working again.
60 odd kms today. Arrived at washburne state park and set up camp by 2 pm. There is very limited and locked down wifi but only at reception that is supposed to only be used to make park reservations. Have learned that if I use my VPN, then I can use the internet like normal. Is quite the trek to reception tho so will be an evening on the kindle methinks.
Am glad to be back camping after a couple of days in motels. A Spanish dude called Jacob just rolled into camp so I am sure I will chat to him later and try to practice some Spanish. Mi Espanol es muy mal.
I am still struggling to set up warm showers (couch surfing for bike people). I can sign in but when filling out my profile info and press save changes, it deletes lots of my updates. I can’t seem to get beyond the profile creation page…
