Day 20: Rest day: Pints at church?
Rest day was restful. Did some laundry and patches some tubes and some basic bike stuff.
Yesterday when having dinner, it was suggested to grab a few drinks and bring them back to the warm showers. I objected thinking that this would be disrespectful given we were on church grounds. This morning before leaving to do some chores, I got talking to Katie, the warm showers host, again. She was telling the story of when 17 bike tourers were staying at the same time and someone objected to getting wine for the group dinner for the same reason. Katie schooled this objector on some miracle this one dude did that turned water into wine. I bet that dude became legendary… So I need not have worried in other words.
Tomie, Cris, jacob are staying the night here so caught up with them. Went out for dinner. Now chilling at the church, drinking pints and will head to bed soon.
Tomorrow the plan is to cycle to Elk Prairie.
