Day 25: Rest day
Am 2 days behind on this journal so this will be quick fire bullet point entry.
Rest day today. Not a bad spot for a rest day. I am in the middle of nowhere but there is water, toilets, showers and a little shop across the road. Oh and I am in the redwoods so that is cool.
Said bye to Phil and julia this morning as they cycled on. Agreed to meet in San Fran
I have a map on my website where I add a dot every night to show where I camped and is cool to see the big picture route develop. This was broken so fixed this.
Updated warm showers profile and left a review for katie, my first warm showers host.
Bought 18 in 1 soap. So this is now my shampoo, body wash, dish cleaner, tent cleaner, and probably could run my stove off it too. Wonder if it stops punctures?
Did some fancy cooking with vegetables.
Having trouble exporting GPX tracks from Garmin so was on a support chat with them which didn’t solve anything. So my uncle agreed to download it on his side and emailed me the GPX tracks. Thank you!
Both my spare tubes had punctures so I had a tube patching session. Tyler who I met in my first week did the whole trip from Canada to San Francisco without a single puncture. I am avg a puncture every 2 days..
Cris, Fiona and another french/Canadian at camp tonight. Everyone brought beers for everyone thinking no one else would bring them so now we have too many beers. Hence why this entry is a day late…
